John H. Thompson

NORC president John Thompson will lend his expertise to the US Census Bureau as it approaches the 2010 decennial census.  Thompson will share his expertise in operations and management with the federal agency. 

Thompson, a 27-year veteran, had responsibility for the 2000 Decennial Census and was responsible for all aspects of its operations.

The appointment was reported by the Associated Press, the New York Times, and the Washington Post.
