Arbor Research Awarded Contract for Alignment of Quality and Public Reporting Programs and Websites

Press Release

Arbor Research Collaborative for Health, in partnership with NORC at the University of Chicago, has been awarded a four-year contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for the Alignment of Quality and Public Reporting Programs and Websites.

With this initiative, Arbor Research expands its support of CMS in aligning and advancing existing quality and public reporting programs to ultimately improve health care quality, safety, and cost effectiveness in the United States. Our team will support CMS efforts to improve and align the websites that publically report information on the quality of hospitals, nursing homes, dialysis facilities, physicians and other practitioners, and home health agencies. We will examine the gaps, best practices and consumer understanding of the CMS Compare websites and highlight recommendations for strategic improvement. The project communications and rollout plan will also support future ratings of health plans on the Marketplace Quality Exchanges established under the Affordable Care Act.

Arbor Research will build upon its extensive knowledge of CMS public reporting programs, including the ESRD Quality Incentive Program (QIP), and established experience managing CMS projects of this magnitude. NORC also brings extensive experience supporting CMS with quality reporting efforts. The complementary skills on this team will result in the highest level of expertise, vision, and commitment.

Arbor Research is one of 18 organizations throughout the U.S. eligible to bid on contracts under CMS’s Measure and Instrument Development and Support (MIDS) contract vehicle.
