NSC Postsecondary Persistence Indicator Project-PPIP

NORC is performing sampling, weighting, and variance estimation for the National Student Clearinghouse's Postsecondary Persistence Indicator Project (PPIP), supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The goals of NSC’s PPIP are two-fold: to produce a national estimate of the proportion of students (by subgroup, with a focus on low-income and minority students) entering postsecondary credential granting institutions, and to develop a benchmarking report that documents postsecondary progression, completion and persistence through at least the students' first year of postsecondary education. The intention is to track that figure annually as a new national benchmark to inform policymakers.
