Press Release

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Feb. 4, 2016 — NORC at the University of Chicago is opening a new survey research center in Albuquerque. NORC is looking for employees to join their Telephone Surveys and Support Operations (TSSO) staff as interviewers.

NORC is an independent research institution affiliated with the University of Chicago and interviewers are vital to the organization’s nationwide survey research operation. Interviewers talk to people from every conceivable walk of life to obtain information on issues such as health care, employment, education, and many others. To be an interviewer, English proficiency is required, both written and verbal Spanish proficiency is a plus.

“We are looking to hire friendly and personable individuals who can reach out to people around the country on issues of importance for society,” said Jenny Kelly, the Vice President who oversees Telephone Surveys and Support Operations at NORC at the University of Chicago. “We are thrilled to open a research center in Albuquerque. It is such a great city and this location will give us greater capacity and flexibility. We have received a warm welcome from state and local leaders and thank them for their support.”

NORC’s work has lasting social significance, and the data our interviewers gather helps legislators and other decision-makers involved in setting policy make informed decisions for the welfare of all Americans in an increasingly complex society. While interviewers will be conducting in-depth interviews, they will not be promoting or selling commercial products or services. NORC is a not-for-profit organization doing research for the public good.

NORC will be recruiting 400 interviewers for the new Albuquerque location. The job consists of the following:

  • Excellent starting wages
