Kristen champions diversity, equity, and inclusion lending bold vision for transformational change.

Kristen is the director of communications and outreach in the Office of Diversity, Racial Equity & Inclusion (DREI). She partners with the Chief Diversity Officer, Executive Council, and senior leaders to implement staff engagement initiatives and communication programs in service of NORC’s DREI efforts.

As a writer, publisher, and promoter of NORC’s work, contributor to NORC's outreach efforts, and member of NORC’s original DREI Work Group, DREI Strategy Group, and DREI Strategic Framework and Action Plan, Kristen has a unique vantage point on diversity, racial equity, and inclusion efforts across the organization. This bird’s eye view, her own lived experience, sociology background, and past roles at nonprofits such as Pew, the National Rural Electric Cooperative Organization, National Organization for Women, and Head Start inform her perspective around these topics and the lens through which she approaches her work.

Kristen represents NORC on the Evidence and Equity Collaborative, a first-of-its-kind cross-organizational body working to strengthen inclusive practices in programs and research. She is a proud HBCU graduate and advocate.
