Meg Hefferon

Research Scientist
Meg is a mixed-methods researcher with experience analyzing quantitative and qualitative data and designing and developing survey instruments.

At NORC, Meg leads development, fielding, and analysis of an annual survey of accountable care organizations (ACOs) participating in the CMS Innovation Center model evaluation of the ACO REACH Model. On the model evaluation and the evaluation of the Next Generation Accountable Care (NGACO) Model, she also has contributed to quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods analysis, with a focus on use and interpretation of comparative case methods.

Meg also contributes to projects focused on providing technical assistance support to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Office of Minority Health. As part of the NIH HEAL (Helping End Addiction Long-Term) Initiative, she worked on a Data Sharing Consultancy team, which developed tools and guidance to help investigators to understand and fulfill the obligations of the NIH Data Sharing Policy.

Prior to joining NORC, Meg worked at Mass General Brigham, where she supported evaluations of system-wide population health interventions, including a large dementia care program. She also previously worked at Pew Research Center as part of a small team focused on conducting surveys gauging public opinion on science and health-related topics.
