Carly Parry Joins NORC at the University of Chicago as Vice President of Health Sciences

CHICAGO, December 1, 2021—Carly Parry has joined NORC at the University of Chicago as vice president in the Health Sciences department. 

In this role, Parry will support NORC’s work across myriad topic areas including learning health systems, care coordination, health services research, cancer care, patient-centered outcomes research, and behavioral and mental health, among others. 

“Carly’s wealth of knowledge and vast experience positions her well to continue growing NORC’s work at the intersection of health services research and implementation,” said Stephen Smith, senior vice president of the Health Sciences department. “We are thrilled to have Carly join NORC as our team continues to uncover the ever-changing world of health and care on a national scale.” 

Prior to joining NORC, Parry worked as a senior advisor at the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), Healthcare Delivery and Disparities Research program, where she oversaw care coordination and transitions research initiatives, led learning health systems initiatives, and served as a senior program officer in the improving healthcare systems area. She has also held roles at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Kaiser Permanente, and the National Cancer Institute, where she served as a research scientist and program director.

In addition to her considerable experience, Parry is regularly invited to offer content expertise for technical expert panels and professional meetings across the country and regularly facilitates learning and collaboration across organizations focused on health care and health research.
