Avantika is a research scientist at NORC, specializing in health services research. With over a decade of experience, she has led and managed numerous research and quality improvement projects focused on patient-centered outcomes. Her expertise includes the design and implementation of pragmatic clinical trials across various care settings, multisector stakeholder engagement, mixed methods analysis, and program evaluation. 

At NORC, Avantika plays critical roles in projects funded by various clients. She is currently the project manager for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)-funded Clinical Decision Support Innovation Collaborative (CDSiC), a dynamic initiative involving over 100 clinical decision support experts from various sectors. Additionally, she oversees NORC's support for the Trust and Patient Centeredness Workgroup within the CDSiC. Avantika is also part of the evaluation team for a pilot award funded by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) Leading Edge Acceleration (LEAP) Initiative. She provides technical assistance to the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE)-funded National Center of Excellence for Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (NCE for PCOR). 

Prior to her work at NORC, Avantika was at Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Center for Quality Aging, conducting pragmatic research for older adults across various care settings. This research was funded by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the National Institute on Aging (NIA), AHRQ, and the State of Tennessee. She has over 25 publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, with her work cited over 800 times. She has presented at notable conferences and served as a peer reviewer for leading journals. Currently, she is completing her Doctor of Public Health in Health Policy and Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
