Robert is an expert in survey design and estimation, statistical disclosure avoidance, and causal inference.

Robert is a senior statistician in the Statistics & Data Science department. He has nine years of experience working in official statistics and public health. His technical expertise includes survey design and estimation, statistical disclosure limitation methods, interactive dashboard programming, and causal inference. He has worked in several areas of application related to public health including substance use, maternal health, and quality improvement science.

Prior to joining NORC, Robert worked for the U.S. Census Bureau where he assisted with the implementation of the disclosure avoidance system based on differential privacy used to protect 2020 decennial census data products. He also worked as a research scientist for Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center where he led and supported projects aimed at improving the health of Ohioans. These included population health surveys, Medicaid claims and electronic health records analysis, policy evaluations, and quality improvement projects.
