Ashley uses implementation science to integrate evidence-based interventions into health care.

Ashley is a research scientist in the Health Sciences department at NORC at the University of Chicago. She has nearly a decade of experience leading research studies, quality improvement programs, and program performance evaluations within health care and public health. 

Ashley leads projects and tasks focused primarily on implementation science. Currently, she is the project manager for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ) Safety Program for Telemedicine, which is a national effort to implement a bundle of evidence-based interventions designed to improve inappropriate antibiotic prescribing via telemedicine. Ashley also leads implementation activities for the AHRQ Safety Program for Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), a program that aims to reduce MRSA infections in intensive care units, non-intensive care units, surgical services, and long-term care facilities. 

Prior to joining NORC, Ashley completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at Columbia University School of Nursing. She also led COVID-19 data collection and analysis efforts for the City and County of Broomfield in Colorado during the COVID-19 pandemic.
