Crystal Ng
Crystal is an experienced leader in strengthening health and scientific communications, health workforce, health systems, and monitoring and evaluation globally and in the U.S.
Crystal focuses on developing practical, evidence-informed, and culturally appropriate tools and resources to deliver audience-centered health information and interventions. She has led collaborations across sectors, cultures, and countries, from updating national strategic plans to assessing evidence to developing informational, educational, and advocacy resources.
At NORC, Crystal leads the development and dissemination of provider readiness materials for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and oversaw the development of communication materials and dissemination strategies for the CDC Foundation’s efforts to promote mental and emotional well-being among teachers, school staff, and administrators and to support students and their families. She also leads NORC’s communication and stakeholder engagement support to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ Office of Minority Health and has led strategic communications initiatives for federal clients including CDC’s Center for State, Territorial, Local, and Tribal Support (CSTLTS) and the Division of Strategic Planning within HHS’ Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE).
Crystal managed NORC’s support to the CDC’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) to evaluate its adult immunization efforts and has provided technical assistance on a variety of topics, including implementation research for CDC/NCIRD to improve provider communications with Black patients about immunizations and evaluation support to HHS’ Office of Minority Health (OMH) for community-driven approaches to reduce health disparities.
Previously, she managed technical communications for the nonprofit that developed the first approved long-acting and woman-controlled HIV prevention product. Additional prior experience includes health workforce and systems strengthening projects and policy and program analysis across Africa and Asia.
